make sure you know what you are doing here!!!

Personally...I would recommend a good, cold Shiner Bock. I know it sounds counter productive...but it always seems to work for me because 1) it puts a low level of alcohol through your blood which helps with the hangover and the darker hops seem to do much better for ya than a lite pilsner or ale would do. I've never tried anything REALLY dark such as Guiness though. I think that would make me throw up.

Down a bottle of water. Wait till' that nauseous feeling wears off (should be 30-45 mins after you drink the water), then drink another bottle. Keep repeating.

It'll take a little while and you'll feel like hell while you're doing it, but after about three bottles (roughly two hours) you'll start to feel those cold sweats you get when the hangover breaks.

It hurts, but it works faster than anything else I found.

It's always better to drink a bottle or two of water before you hit the sack, but we've all had those nights where we pass out before we make it to the bed. A glass of water on a night like that? Out of the question.

One thing that I left out of the water cure was that I take a shot when I first wake up. It hurts just as bad as the water, but gets me to where I'm feeling alright. Then comes the water.

With every other cure I've tried, it usually takes me most of the day to shake a real bad hangover. With this one, I'm good by noon. I'd rather hurt real bad for a couple of hours than hurt kinda bad all day long.

What's bad is after you pee all over your bathroom wall and around the toilet you go and pass out at the kitchen table while waiting your your hot pocket to finish heating up in the microwave. Then waking up the next morning to find out what you've done and why your at the kitchen table.

Big Daddy Russ is right on target. Make sure you drink plenty of water before and while you're indulging. I usually pound down a gatorade before going to be with a couple Tylenol. When I get up in the morning I drink a big glass of water then I eat some eggs & sausage with biscuits.

Glad your feeling better! Keep pumping in that Gatorade and vitamin C though. Alcohol severely deplets all the good things in those, that your body needs, and thats what actually makes you feel so bad. I actually got this from a Doctor many years ago. Tested it many times after, and it always worked. Thankfully, it's been a long long time, since I've had to test it again. I may not have gotten any smarter with age, but I have at least gotten some wiser.

There is no cure for a hangover. It's best to drink two big glasses of water the night before when you go to bed. It helps but it is not a solution.
