Playstation 2 Question

My PS 2 wont play games it always says reading disc and then it never comes up maybe if i do it like 30 times it might work. Is there anything I can do to fix this or am I just S.O.L

what it is, is the lens inside your ps2 is prolly dirty, if u look on the internet and find instructions on how to open it, and take a q-tip and clean it, it should work again

Probably won't work, I did everything from cleaning it to dropping the lens all the way down. Just make sure when you take the top off the wires connecting it dont rip off.

Getting it off is easy, make sure you put it on a towel or something. It probably won't work though. Mine started doing it summer of 05, first DVD's when some games would work half the time.

I took apart my ps2, cleaned it, put in a game that didn't work and it worked. Turn the ps2 off, put it back together and it didn't work again. Just buy a new one.

maybe Emerson had a different problem, but I have run into that problem a few times, and so has a friend of mine, and i helped him clean his lens, and it seems to work everytime..

I mean its worth a try, its better then not trying and just spending 150 for a new PS2

if u are going to just buy a new system, get an xbox, all my friends combined have gone thru about 10-15 ps2s, yet i've only seen 1 xbox go down to manufacturing problems

if you end up buying a new one illtake the old one..... im fairly good at fixing broken xbox';s and ps2....i have 3 xboxs now and a ps2:D
