and he made 1st team all state in soccer and secured himself a nice lil full ride to Schriner University...

my parents and daughter were at a bible school on the campus there last week. A nice town and not too far from Austin!!!

Should be interesting, since Schreiner is D-III, and can't give athletic scholarships....

yeah, my wife got recruited to play soccer there, they told her that they would cover the first 10000 dollars, but she would only need to come up with the other 20000 a year. She told me it's one of the most expensive schools in the state. Apparently they sit on gold chairs in class

i dont understand how a degree from a school like that is any better than a state school. all it tells any future employers is "im rich enough to not need a job"

According to web site, tution is around 16K. Rice is at about 24,000 a year. SMU is around the same as Rice. Does not include Room and Board.

i guess if someone can afford it, more power to em. but i know millionaire businessmen who have degrees from Texas A&I

Those rates are nothing compared to the ivy's which run around $42,000 to $45,000 a year.

You can get all kinds of grants and aids. My daughter graduated from the Univ of Chicago where the tution at the time was $32,000 a year, now is $41,000.

It cost us about $12,000 a year. The big issue is getting accepted which is not easy at all.
