From the bed to the desk chair. One day a week, I make the 75 mile round trip to the office.

I live in Vernon, Texas & work in Lawton, Oklahoma. 80 miles one way. but it is all country driving so no traffic or stress. It is a good job so I don't mind the drive. (Two kids still in school--can't move).

40 miles each way...from 635/75 (aka "the High Five") to just south of Midlothian, Texas. I get to see the ritz (Highland Park), the power & money (Downtown/Uptown Dallas) the ghetto (South Dallas), the suburbs (Duncanville & Cedar Hill) and the "small town" (Midlothian). It's a little bit of everything...

I am not sure exactly how far it is, but I can leave my drive-way @ 7:58 am and be at the office @ 8:00 am ............. the advantage to living in Hooterville -
The disadvantage: no movie theatre, only 1 grocery store, no bowling alley -

I'll take the advantage any day :)

Same here. I hit two of them that are a 3-5 minute wait if you
catch them right when they turn red.

95% of the time I go work its offshore but I drive out to Fourchon La or Mobile Al, to catch my flight or ride the boat out. So 413 miles to Fourchon and 482 miles to Mobile but Iget paid for the miles I travel so at the end I don't pay nothing just make money plus my car allowance 550 a month. I have made up to 3 trips to Fourchon in one week but on an average 2-3 times a month.

I work for TxDOT and I've had to drive to Vernon for about a week and half and to Gainsville several times for a job. The drive to Vernon always seems like forever, but the trip to Gainsville is just as long.
