My sophomore year we got beat by Marlin(who went to the DII state finals) and a very very talented Taylor team like 49-0.

When I was 8th grade Paradise got blown out by Boyd 57-16, it was 50-0 at the half. Boyd lost to Mart in the state title game that year.

Ironically 4 years later during my senior year Jacksboro beat us 56-0, it was 42-0 at the half.

Both of these games ended the district season for us, and we lost in the playoffs in both years by 30 or more points.

Sealy blew out Cuero in the two I remember... 35-0 in bi-district '96 and 31-0 in region finals '97...

those were some disciplined s.o.b's...

Other than that, Cuero got spanked by Gonzales 42-14 in '02.... but the head coach at the time wanted that to happen so that doesn't count (don't ask)...

From the day I started playing out biggers margin of loss was to Newton in the Area Finals the year they won state and the score was 32-17. Then we were beat once by Gatesville in the first round of the playoffs 14-0, and to Marlin in the season opener 20-7. We did get some revenge on Marlin knocking them out of the playoffs later that year though. 13-6 in week 2.

..my freshman year we (our freshman squad) were beat by Refugio 60-something to nuthin. when we got back to our school and were showering up, the coach (who shall remain nameless) kicked over benches, and yelled "GET OUTA HERE BEFORE THE WRATH OF SATAN COMES DOWN ON YOUR @$$!!!!" talk about being scared! the next day, friday morning, our coach had us making love to the football field for the entire athletics class.

I'm sure Snyder has blown Sweetwater out of the water at one time or another. :D

I've been on both sides of the "blowout" spectrum.

1993 (my Junior season): Cuero 63 - Port Isabel 8 We got them back in 1994 though. :D

1994 (my Senior season): Port Isabel 74 - Santa Rosa 6

I think the biggest blowout I was ever on the "giving" end of was in 1986...we beat Flour Bluff 41-6.

The entire '02 season. Poor kids-- went through tons of injuries and a fairly inept coaching staff. What especially hurt was the game against our archrivals. Well, that, and Sealy, and 2A Ganado, and Mathis, and Sinton, and West Oso.

There have been various and assorted blowouts in our school's history, but the one that hurt the worst was the 1999 Div. I state championship game: Libery-E 49, Mathis 6.

Those LE jokers didn't even have plays or run routes, the QB just threw the ball as far as he could towards the endzone, and the receivers were so fast they got there before the ball did and stood around waiting to catch it.

1997 Round 4 - Denison 39 Sweetwater 0
2000 District - Wylie 31 Sweetwater 0. Big Spring also gave us a beating that year too. I think it was 34-0.

I remember Sweetwater beating Stockton and Pecos by scores of 60-0 in the mid-late 90's. The Mustangs also had something like a 49-0 halftime lead on Glen Rose in the playoffs in 2004.

I went to school in Forney and after college went to coach in Sulphur Springs. In my second year we scheduled Forney and beat them 42-0....in forney. OUCH

Not that it matters, but Sweetwater did not play Stephenville in 1997.

In 1995 it was the area game and Denison beat Sweetwater 34-18 as Reggie Hunt set a school rushing record for Denison racking up 347 yards in the game.

Everman 37
Wylie 0

2nd round of the 2002 playoffs. It was like men against boys that Saturday morning at Birdville. Wylie crossed the 50 a few times...but it didn't matter. Everman's front 4 (led by STUD DE Nick Clark) simply overpowered Wylie's line all day long.
