The Gf and I are gonna go to a Rangers Game next sat but will spend the weekend in the metro mess. Dont want to pay the 146 a night at the Wyndham. Where else is good or where else can I take her after the game thats away from the six flags hurricane harbor rates? The hotle has to be semi nice, just not Wyndham nice.

There are a lot of hotels out on I-20 which puts you about 15 minutes from the Ballpark.

get on priceline and get it done. PM me your price range and I'll do a little research for ya. I have some good resources for "beating priceline" that have gotten me rooms at some sick rates (i.e Marriott Rivercenter in SA for $51/night on Labor Day w/e...Doubletree on 75 in Dallas for $55 on New Years Eve) ;)

There is an AmeriSuites just north of I-30 on 360 that is pretty nice. 2 room suite with a sitting area, a full fridge, and a kitchen type sink with dinner ware in the cabinets. 5 minutes max from the ballpark and it runs $20 - $40 dollars a night less than a sister hotel directly across the street from SixFlags. 360 is the big highway that crosses I-30 right at the entrance to SixFlags. I personally think it is an even better location than the SixFlags location because it is easier (IMO) to get to all 3 of the main attractions from that side of town. Plus it's about 3 minutes to the Trail Dust steakhouse. :D

Now i think we might stay up closer to Grapevine since she wants to shop at the mall there and I can go to Bass Pro Shop.

Isn't Arlington the Texas city that will be putting up signs to tell you which neighborhoods are bad?

If so, don't stay in the ones they say are bad :D

It is about a 10 minute drive to Bass Pro from the hotel I told you about earlier. Easy drive too. Very little traffic north on 360.

Let me in on your resources, we stay there often, got a friend that works there, but never got rooms for $51 a night.
