I don't know, the Boz was pretty crazy but so was Ty Cobb. I think I'll go with Cobb simply because he was known for JUMPING INTO THE STANDS AND BEATING THE TAR OUT OF FANS. These days, players are suspended for a year.

He's also known for sharpening his metal spikes and sliding 'cleats up' into other fielders and for once throwing pine tar on a baby.

Goos-fraba.

I know that most of ya'll probably don't care about tennis, but when you get bored sometime, google a guy names John MacEnroe.

Dick Butkus ... Was an an instant hit. Bill George, who had played 13 years for the Bears and was the incumbent middle linebacker on his way to the Hall of Fame, didn't have any doubts when he saw Butkus perform for the first time. "The second I saw him on the field (at training camp) I knew my playing days were over," George said. "Nobody ever looked that good before or since."The meanest, craziest SOB Ive ever played with or against .

"If every college football team had a linebacker like Dick Butkus, all fullbacks would soon be three feet tall and sing soprano," wrote Dan Jenkins in Sports Illustrated

Butkus wasn't a Rhodes Scholar at Illinois. "If I was smart enough to be a doctor, I'd be a doctor," he said. "I ain't, so I'm a football player. They got me in P.E."

He gets my vote :D

The three above, Dobler and Joe Don Looney have to be in there. They all had a lot of time being recognized as crazy.

I also heard a lot of things about baseball player Jimmy Pearsall although most of his problems could have been corrected by medication. These other guys are just nuts.

Hacksaw Duggan. Yes, I know professional wrestling is not a sport, but Duggan was kicked out of the NFL for frequent offenses of using spearing tactics.
