Vernon was one of the top programs in the state back in the 80's and the 90's.

Over that amount of years Fal has 13 seasons under .500 and they made the playoffs 2 times with a record under .500. We had one Perfect season in 2000-2001 but lost to Yoakum in the second round.

Fal has never been known for football. 82 wins in 19 seasons. But I bet they have won close to 400 baseball games in the same amount of time.

For some reason, Port Isabel was listed as having a 0-0 record in 1987, as was Hidalgo. The Tarpons went 7-3-1 that season. This would give them a record of 163-57-5, tying them for 8th with Daingerfield.

One year was also omitted for Abilene Wylie:confused:

Yeah I noticed that about Midland Greenwood too. I was
kinda wondering why he omitted those years...

Yeah, WOS was too. I think Jasper just dropped into 3A.

Sweetwater could possibly move up to second or third after this season. Maybe one of the Wylie fans can find out how they did that year that was left off.

Also...those don't have the 2005 records on them...anyone know if their is an updated list somewhere?

I e-mailed the guy Sweetwater's schedule as soon as it came out.
He posted it pretty quickly. If ya'll know your teams record of
those missing years you might e-mail it to him.

I'm sure it will be updated before the season starts.

WO-S was in 4A for 16 of those years and 5A for one of them.

I posted a much more accurate table here 7 months ago which includes the 2005 season (except for the Division II State Finals results which is why Tatum is in bold) and only counts years playing in 3A

Click the link below

Winningest programs over past 20 years counting only games played while a 3A team (http://bbs.3adownlow.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=39249)

and actually (referring to the above post) ... WO-S was only in 3A for 2 of those years, 4A for 18 of them. They dropped from 5A to 4A in 1986 (20 years ago).

And in reference to the WILDSTANGS post 5 posts up, Sweetwater actually did move up to 2nd in 2005.

The week prior to the above link I posted stats on all teams that were 3A in 2005 ranked by wins over the past 20 years (including 2005 except for results from Weeks 15 and 16)

Click the link below

Winningest 3A teams from the 2004-2006 realignment over the past 20 years (includes all records from all classifications over the past 20 years) (http://bbs.3adownlow.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=38778)

Glad to see Vernon getting some love. They have had two good teams in the 2000 era.

2003 DII Semi finalist
Playoff wins over
Brady, Decatur, Sweetwater & Kennedale

2001 DI Quarterfinalist
Playoff wins over
Abilene Wylie & Aledo

Vernon was also in 4A for some of those wins. Not near as many seasons as WOS or Sweetwater but a few years.
