This stage was completed yesterday. There were several escapees but the peloton let them go since it wasn't expected that they would be serious title contenders at the end. Jens Voigt won the stage with Oscar Pereiro second. The peloton finished 29'57" behind and so Oscar got the yellow jersey. It is probably a psycological advantage to Landis to give it up since there is now no pressure to keep the yellow jersey. I am sure he will want to claim it before the ride to Paris though.
