Well, i'm up here in Aggieland for my new student conference, and i have been thinking alot about the upcoming baseball season, and i have realized that i haven't really given much thought to my warm-up song. so i'm opening up the floor for nominations to later be narrowed down and placed into a poll.

for ya'll that don't know what a "warm-up" song is, its the song that will be playing at the start of each of my pitching appearances in my freshman year.

I've heard a song called "F*** you I'm from Texas" when I was in high school about 6-7 years ago. It was written by my band director's rock band, The Mendicants.

Just go with something original, stay away from ac/dc and other jock jams.

"Frankenstein" by the Edgar Winter Group

All instrumental for those extended warm-up sessions.

Good luck and Gig Em

Ya, that's the song TNT played throughout the playoffs. Seems more like a song you would add to a highlight video then to get yourself pumped up.

Listen to unleashed by saliva.

Read this and tell me what you think. (i'd have to get the edited version)

Remember the Name by Fort Minor

[Chorus]
This is ten percent luck, twenty percent skill
Fifteen percent concentrated power of will
Five percent pleasure, fifty percent pain
And a hundred percent reason to remember the name!

[ Mike Shinoda ]
Mike! - He doesn't need his name up in lights
He just wants to be heard whether it's the beat or the mic
He feels so unlike everybody else, alone
In spite of the fact that some people still think that they know him
But ____ em, he knows the code
It's not about the salary
It's all about reality and making some noise
Makin the story - makin sure his clique stays up
That means when he puts it down Tak's pickin it up! let's go!

[ Takbir ]
Who the hell is he anyway?
He never really talks much
Never concerned with status but still leavin them star struck
Humbled through opportunities given to him despite the fact
That many misjudge him 'cause he makes a livin from writin raps
Put it together himself, now the picture connects
Never askin for someone's help, to get some respect
He's only focused on what he wrote, his will is beyond reach
And now when it all unfolds, the skill of an artist

[ Ryu ]
It's just twenty percent skill
Eighty percent beer Be a hundred percent clear cause Ryu is ill
Who would've thought that he'd be the one that set the west in flames
Then I heard him wreckin with The Crystal Method, "Name Of The Game"
Came back dropped Megadef, took em to church
I like bleach man, ryu had the stupidest verse?
This dude is the truth, now everybody givin him guest spots
His stock's through the roof I heard he ____in with S. Dot!

[Chorus]

[ Ryu ]
They call him Ryu The Sick
And he's spittin fire with Mike
Got him out the dryer he's hot
Found him in Fort Minor with Tak
Been a f***in annihilist porcupine
He's a prick, he's a ____
The type woman want to be with, and rappers hope he get shot
Eight years in the makin, patiently waitin to blow
Now the record with Shinoda's takin over the globe
He's got a partner in crime, his s*** is equally dope
You wont believe the kind of s*** that comes out of this kid's throat

[ Takbir ]
Tak! - He's not your everyday on the block
He knows how to work with what he's got
Makin his way to the top
People think its a common owners name
People keep askin him was it given at birth
Or does it stand for an acronym?
He's livin proof, Got him rockin the booth
He'll get you buzzin quicker than a shot of vodka with juice
Him and his crew are known around as one of the best
Dedicated to what they do give a hundred percent

[ Mike Shinoda ]
Forget Mike - Nobody really knows how or why he works so hard
It seems like he's never got time
Because he writes every note and he writes every line
And I've seen him at work when that light goes on in his mind
It's like a design is written in his head every time
Before he even touches a key or speaks in a rhyme
And those ______ he runs with, those kids that he signed?
Ridiculous, without even trying, how do they do it?!

If you can find a rap song or any song you like and try to just get the instrumental version.
I personally have never liked teams with songs that have lyrics in them if they arn't team specialized.

I've heard the song and I can't get into it, but that's just me. Ultimately man, it's your decision to pick the song that makes you feel warmed up. You've got plenty of time to go out and sample some music. When you find it, feel free to let us know that your mission is complete and let us know what you picked. Good luck and God speed.

it really doesn't matter to me, thats why i'm looking for suggestions. my personal opinion is that if you need a certain song to get "pumped up" to pitch in a collegiate level baseball game, then you shouldn't be pitching.......period.

I feel pretty,
Oh so pretty,
I feel pretty and witty and gay,

And I pitty,
Any player who isnt me today,

I feel charming,
Oh so charming,
It's alarming how charming i feel,

And so pretty that I hardly beleive im pitching

See that pretty baseball player in that mirror there (what mirror where)
Who can that attractive baseball player be (which one where hum)
What a pretty hat(Hum)
What a pretty bat(Hum)
What a pretty glove(Hum)
What a pretty ball(Hummm)

I feel stunning(feel stunning)
And entrancing(and entrancing)
Feel like running and dancing for a strikeout
for im loved by a pretty wonderful catcher!

That Fort Minor song was pretty slick. You should also check out "Clean my Wounds" by Corrosion of Conformity, "Snap your fingers, Snap your neck" by Prong, and "You Could be Mine" by Guns n' Roses. The 45-second intro to "You Could be Mine" gets me pumped more than any other song.
