I think this would actually be a pretty good game. Marlin caught my attention after beating Ennis, that was cool.

I have not seen Jasper play but have heard from people who have. I saw Marlin last night. They played a pretty much perfect game, few penalties, no turnovers and very well executed plays on both sides of the ball. They are fast, athletic, and hard hitters. Jasper beat Newton 42-20. Marlin beat Newton 35-21. If they played 10 times they each would win 5 times. It could go either way depending on which team makes the fewest mistakes. Marlin capitalized on every mistake La Grange made, accounting for 4 of the 5 tds they scored. The Leps had NO PENALTIES and ONE TURNOVER yet they scored on that one interception early to set the tone for the rest of the game. Marlin will punish any team that makes a mistake. I don't think Jasper has played a team like that this season. If I had to chose I guess I would go with Marlin in a thriller.

I think that Jasper would beat them bad. Jasper played Newton early when they had no hobbled players....Marlin played Newtons players hobbled and their subs. Marlin is a good Div II and will win State. Jasper is in a unique class all of their own on depth and quality of skill at this point in the playoffs. Hide and watch the Jasper scores.

there is no way that marlin could beat jasper im sorry yall better be glad you dont have to play them they could"nt when a 4a title so the uil made a dumb move and put them in 3a and know everybody has to deal with them for 2yrs good luck marlin next week and also jasper i"ll be at both games watching yall

The Newton/Marlin game came down to the last few minutes. The Newton/Jasper game was over 2 min into the 3rd quarter. Marlin beat Ennis (fluke) but can't beat Jasper. But since this game will never happen we can only speculate.

Marlin is a great team, but Jasper is excellent!!
