For Bridgeport, it will be:

Paradise
Celina

Both should be good "tests"......Celina is rated #14 in 3A and Paradise #7 in 2A in DCTF Pre-season Top 25

I think ours is Pecos and Monahans.

Not 100% sure about Pecos, but Monahans for sure.

I could be completely wrong about this. But, I thought you didn't
scrimmage teams from your own district.

That's another thing to be proud of ya'll are 1-0 in the quarter-finals.
While Sweetwater is like 5-3. But, we are talking about playing
football in December though. Not a frequent occurence where
Snyder is concerned.

That probably was one of the better games you'll see, well if you had been there you would know that. A true tale of two halves. And the kick kept it from going overtime, not win or lose at the time. I've never thought he blew it. He kicked it well, it just hooked a little quick.

Well blow it may be a little harsh because it DID hit the pole. However...he didn't come through and keep the game going and that is what gave Snyder their victory in the end.

Do ya'll know that same kid was put in the very same situation
against Iowa Park last year and nailed it. If he would have
missed it...screw losing...I would have felt horrible for the kid.

It killed Wylie's QB going into the 2001 season. He had 2 solid seasons at QB but then he underthrows that final pass in the state championship game (he hadn't underthrown a ball in 2 years) and the next season he was a different QB. He was still a good QB...but he lost that "something extra" that makes the good ones great and was unable to get up for big games next year as Wylie was upset in the 1st round of the '01 playoffs against Vernon.

I think it was something else. There was a different attitude throughout the entire team that year. That and Lampert carried the ball twice time all year. Scored of course.

No idea who Gilmer scrimmages, but I know the Newberry Indians open the season on Sept. 2 against Edward Waters College.

We've got eight of 11 games at home this year, with the season-ending rivalry game against Presbyterian only 22 miles away. We open with six straight at home.

Hellen Keller has a Grandson on the team and he was All district in the handicap confrence last year. He plays Nose Guard and had 3 Sacks and 8 Tackles Vs Dallas Parapalegic last year so look out ! I hear they have Great hearing( loss of sight tends to make the other sences better ) so Jackson needs to use hand signals when sending in the plays or they will listen in on the play and snap count calls.. :p
