Don't know how close it will be to you if you are coming from Marlin---but why not take in Gilmer to see if they are "for real"---

Wk3- Gilmer at Daingerfield (Don't know how "loaded" D'Field is this season)

Of course, I think the "show" will be in Wk2 :

The Gordon Wood classic is during week 3. We play Decatur on
Thursday night. I not sure of the rest of the scheduled teams.
I'm sure there is one game Friday night and two Saturday.
