This stage is the one today (Wednesday). There is about 30 miles left. There are several escapees who are ahead of the peloton.

The peloton is now about 16 miles from the finish line. The five escapees are 1'10" ahead of the peloton so I expect them to get swallowed up soon.

There is now about 9 miles to go for the peloton and the escapees are 1'05" ahead so alas, there is nothing new to report basically.

opps my bad. I didn't make it clear the ' refers to minutes and the " refers to seconds in cycling language in this case.

The peloton will be able to make up this time today in my opinion. Sometimes like yesterday the escapees are able to hold on for the win but usually they get swallowed up near the end of the race. I expect them to get caught and for the end to be a race of the sprinters.

You know, it's funny, I didn't even think of feet and inches when I saw that. Lord I've been watching cycling too much.

It is getting exciting indeed! The peloton is about 3 miles from the finish. Two of the escapees have been caught and the others are only 25 seconds ahead. Exciting times indeed! Hang on to your hat folks!!

Robbie McEwen wins the 4th stage! As expected the peloton caught the escapees and it was a sprinters' race to the end. Exciting indeed. Overall standings are the same. We are in for a treat the next few weeks. :)
