Ex-Sinton catcher Reyna signs with Kansas college

Barton County Community College in Kansas sure has its share of South Texas roots now.
The college signed its fourth softball player from the Coastal Bend area recently when former Sinton High School standout Rubi Reyna signed a letter of intent to play softball in Great Bend, Kan. next season.
The catcher Reyna joins former King pitcher Jennifer Jackson and Mustangs shortstop Georgette Garza and Gregory-Portland pitcher Camille Cruz as recent Barton County Community College signees.
The four-year starter, Reyna, batted .381 with a team-best 40 RBI this past season and led the Pirates to the Region IV-3A championship game. She was the also the 2006 District 30-3A Offensive Player of the Year, a first-team all district catcher and a second-team Caller-Times' All South Texas selection.
