I don't. Why do people want to put a cold liquid on a juicy hot hamburger?

I do cuz it lends contrast to the warmness of the patty.
Come on, there's a science to this, ya know?;)

Pickles, jelly, and ketchup go in the fridge....syrup and peanut butter go on the shelf. My mother refigerates her syrup and peanut butter and it is hard to spread!!!

Wow - I am in the minority on this one. We don't refrigerate our Ketchup at the house, but I think my middle son does (cause his college roommates did and he got used to it) We had this discussion once when he was home for Christmas. Peanut Butter, Syrup and bread all in the pantry. Pickles and Jelly in the refrigerator :) (right next to hubby's cancer sticks - he keeps them in the frig for some weird reason) We also keep batteries in the freezer:rolleyes:

Same here....I do put ketchup in the pantry until it is opened, then... in the fridge it goes.:)

There is nothing worse than trying to spread peanut butter that has been in the fridge.

As for bread, I have started buying two loaves at a time ... one goes in the pantry and the second goes in the freezer. We eat far too many sandwiches at our house.:D

I'm definitely in the minority. I don't refrigerate anything that doesn't say to. Ketchup, mustard, worcestoaerastjshire sauce, etc goes in the pantry. Only one that gets refrigerated is BBQ sauce.

Just takes up too much room. If I had all my condiments in the fridge, where would I put all the beer?
