Snyder, Borger, Navasota and Carthage all appear to have rebounded from tough starts and got impressive wins to open district...Borger is now 2-3 and Snyder, Navasota and Carthage are now 3-3...looks like they could make some noise..

It was just a matter of time. The dropdowns normally always end up ruining a few teams records that were counting on the wins. Usually these teams had in rough in 4A being so small. The kids don't want to go out to football because they know there going to get stomped. Once some success comes there way, and a little tradition is established. Kids start coming out of the woodworks. I look for these teams to make a little noise this year, and then next year....look out.

Carthage got to a bad start playing some of the old 4a rivals, but have recovered for district. Beating Chapel Hill 24-7.

Navasota is on a role and I sense an upset in the making this Friday. Navasota 21 Bellville 13.

Navasota is on a role and I sense an upset in the making this Friday. Navasota 21 Bellville 13.Dan Burk left Wimberley to take the Navasota job, I'm not surprised he's doing well, but am glad to see it. He's a class act all the way, and the oc he took with him (Bueno) is a very creative coach.
