Both teams have the same offensive strategy, this one could be a close game if specific decisions are not made... The eagles come out and play like I know they can, then the game is one sided..If we have stupid mistakes and allow the wildcats to stay in it then we end up playing catchup all night.. I personally do not believe this will be a close game, BUT I CAN HONESTLY SAY I HAVE BEEN WRONG BEFORE! wink Kirbyville has some great kids on both sides of the ball, and their coaching staff is well rounded.. This week will also be an exciting one for the Newton Eagles... :)

Newton is coming off an emotional loss to Jasper and poor Kirbyville just happens to be next in line. Barbay will show mercy towards his son and Coach Alverez and try to keep the Eagles up by only 30. Newton has to make fewer mistakes and the special teams play MUST improve if they want to make it in the playoffs.

This sould be a good game. Both teams are loaded with talent! The game could go either way. I just hope our O.C. shows up. The spred should be no more than one touchdown. Just my opion.

Wow, I just got off a shut down so I haven't been on here to much. This week is the Eagles and the Cats. I can't wait. Newton is coming off a tough loss but I think they will rebound against the cats. I will be off for this one ( as I was for the Jasper -Newton game) Man I love this stuff. DOGcatcher where you at?

Newton will play a hard fought game, they know what they have to do to get better. they know now that their caliber of play must improve..It's just bad news for the wildcats that it happens to be them we rebound against..

This will be an exciting game to watch. I think that K-ville has a real strong chance to win Friday. Newton just came off a heartbreaker against Jasper. I believe this game will be a defensive struggle. Newton's o-line isn't as salty as it usually is but they have 3 great backs. If Kirbyville tackles well they can win the game. If they tackle poorly Newton will run away with it.

Sphnix, where is all your alleigence to your former boss man. You know Coach Alvarez is going to put together a good plan. And "junior" over there in Kirbyville is going to have a plan for his old man. Both staffs are amoung the best in 3A, and I believe Kirbyville has a great shot if they play turnover "free" ball. Looks like the 7th grade got Newton 16-6, not sure about the 8th grade but I am sure Newton won, and the Newton J.V. won easily 48-8. None of that matters in the playoff hunt however. The real deal is tonight. I believe Newton will win the game and Kirbyville will win the halftime, as usual.

Sphinx what's up? Heard lately from mr. flat. Just wondering if he's out there. Having social problems in your life can really cause a downfall in your participation on this forum. Anyhoo, I feel that we will have some fired up teams come first quarter. After that it's good riddens to the kats. I don't think their going to have to dig too deep in the sand box to find a fresh mistake if you know what i mean. Oh yeah, Sphinx, I'm not too sure why the 7th grade lost, but i heard that the refs made some pro bowl calls out there on the field.
