I agree Cameron Yoe should be in the Top 10. I'm still not totally sold on Giddings!!! It's basically a one-man show on offense but their defense will be very solid next year!!!

i think youre right about that unfortunately. i would say its a good thing to stay under the radar, but most teams in our district would give their season for a crack at beating Sinton, whether theyre ranked or not. (nobody get on my case about that "give their season..." its a figure of speech, but fairly accurate at that)

with the losses at the end of the year into this year, and the graduation of alot of players... 8-2 sound fair?

I was thinking 7-3 or maybe even 6-4(that way I can have that pleasant sense of surprise if they prove me wrong).

Nah...that will be Matthew328 putting us at #1 . When does his
poll come out? does anyone know?

I wouldn't have brought Texlong's poll over here if the Cameron
fan wouldn't have asked "Where's Cameron".

But, I will try to find a legitimate one that has us higher than #3 :D .

Canyon had my favorite player to watch last season and he happens to be amember of this board. I saw soem film befoer the game and was hooked them seeing him live he easily won my fav kid to watch last season. Some of the others:

The white running back from Monahans. The other kid avoided contact.

The running back from Wimberly.

#32 from Merkel

reverse psychology... will it work?

Will the Gobblers live up to expectations this fall? Are the expectations too high? It seems that some will only settle for the Ring from Cuero, and I dont just mean Cuero folks.

Hell, I don't think the expectations are too high... others may though, I dunno...

Chemistry-wise this may be the best year since Reeve took over ('03)... speed-wise it'll be the best year in a lonnnnnng time (from what I can tell)... we also get a DB back that missed all of last season, he started on the '04 Finalists team as a sophmore...

DB's are gunna be fast, linebackers are gunna be fast and tough as nails, have to replace an all-stater on the line (Rudd, DE) and a great DT (Gonzales), but I have a feeling those replacements will work out fine... doesn't hurt having a returning defensive end who got 2nd in the 100 at state this year and ran the relays (Jr. Stephon Hargrove)...

On offense the line will be good, so no worries there... The receiving will be just as good as last year once the ball gets rolling and the passing is no problem, Kyle has a cannon and now a year under his belt as QB (starting DB in '04)... Will be interesting to see if he comes in on passing situations on defense, the boy wants to play defense but you can't afford to have him get hurt... RB will be a great position for us as well with Olguin returning and some others stepping in...

Looks good, I think we have some important depth as well...

Expectations too high? Nah, but there are some damn good teams out there...
