I think it will be a good game.I'm hoping to see the team turn it up a notch and play with more intensity.This is the last tune-up game before district.Marlin is a quality opponent and could give the Burnet defense some fits.Burnet 34,Marlin 20!

I have seen Burnet play and Marlin in a scrimmage. My take is with Burnet. Should be a great game.

its great that orange thinks that the size of the shool matters when it comes to talent and coaching. ive seen small farm town schools beat the ever livin doo doo out of good size cities in baseball and basketball both. when teams like stephenville (just 192 out of 223 in size, less than most dallas ft. worth schools) go and beat all these power house teams out of the dallas ft. worth area, it just shows you how size of your town and shool doesnt really matter. so, find another excuse to post a reply about orange.

This should be a great game to watch. I expect a high scoring affair. With Shipley's talent and Marlins speed could be a great match up. Either way I think it is a great game for both teams. Other than Austin Reagan which is down this year I don't think Burnet has faced the overall speed that it will see this week. On the other hand I don't think that Marlin has faced a team with the size and the passing game that Burnet has. Go watch this one should be good.

For those of you who don't know yet, Killeen Shoemaker may be the fastest team in the state this year. They overmatched Burnet's team speed. But it takes more than speed to win a football game. Did I hear someone from Stephenville say "WEIGHTROOM"?

Bigdawg06 It is on the edge of the new frontier, 2 lanes to no-where! LOL Just kidding, take I35 north past Temple, then take Hwy. 7 east about 30 to 35 miles east. It should be about a 3 to 3.5 hour drive from Burnet.

I think we are going to finally have a complete game and win 48-13.I think Shipley will run one or two back on special teams alone. He is really due for one. The defence needs to get after the quarterback and I think #44 will if the caoches let him loose. What do you think?

We (Gatesville) have had a chance to see both team's play. I would have to say that Burnet should win the game. Marlin has a fast team and can put up some big numbers. Burnet has speed also. I do think Burnet D will have to step there game up but I do see them doing that. This will be a great game to see. It could easily turn into a shoot-out but I do think Burnet has all the tool's to win. Both teams show a lot of class on the field. Good Luck in the game.

I consider Marlin as one of the weaker teams in all of Region III. They whippped a very weak 2A team in Mart last week. They beat a weak Waco Midway 23-20 who has 3 loses to very average teams. An of course they lost to Waco University, who also lost to two average teams. Burnet will win here, but so would nearly all the teams in Region III that will make the playoffs!

I don't know much about Marlin exept that they were pretty good last year. I think that this will be a close game full of defense. And I hope Marlin pulls it off but I think Burnet will win 21-14.
