I know this kills my odds...but heck it's already going to be pretty slim anyways so I don't care.

NBA Finals Game 7 Ticket Giveaway

DALLAS (June 19, 2006) – The Dallas Mavericks have announced that 500 pair of upper level tickets to a potential Game 7 in the NBA Finals will be given away FREE to fans through an online sweepstakes here at mavs.com. If necessary, Game 7 will be played at American Airlines Center on Thursday, June 22 at 8 p.m. CT.

“Hosting an online promotion for a potential Game 7 is the fairest way to offer this opportunity of a lifetime to fans who might not get the opportunity to attend a Mavs home game,” said Mavs owner Mark Cuban. “We have the best fans, and no matter what game is being played, we know that our arena will be full of the rowdiest, proudest and loudest fans.”

To register for the giveaway, fans who live within 75 miles of American Airlines Center must visit mavs.com between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. CT on Tuesday, June 20th, and fill out the registration form located in the “NBA Finals Game 7 Ticket Giveaway” section.

Winners will be chosen through a random drawing and will be notified by the Dallas Mavericks via an e-mail by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, June 21. All winners must show a valid photo ID to pick up their tickets at American Airlines Center’s North Box Office between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Thursday, June 22nd. Any tickets not picked up by 3 p.m. CT will be sold via normal sales channels (mavs.com, 1-800-4NBA-TIX, North Box Office at American Airlines Center).

More information about the Game 7 Ticket Giveaway, including the official rules, will be available here on mavs.com beginning at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 20th.

I wonder why they are limiting it to a 75 mile radius?

i bet they are wanting to take care of their hometown people. Dallas doesn't want to have to give free tickets to someone living in Miami or New York or whatever

a few people in my office have gotten through but no such luck yet. I got to the form but then it says "internal server error." I bet the NBA's IT Dept is hating Cuban for doing this to them! ;)

I'm not normally superstitious, but things like this make me think a jinx has been issued.

after losing games 3-5...it's not really a jinx. There is no way they could do all of this tomorrow, notify everybody, and have the tickets ready to go by Thursday morning. It would be tough.

yay I'm registered...and I'm betting that there are at least 50,000 entries so I have less than a 1% chance. Oh well!
