any drummers out there? what's the best to get... pearl of course, but what else? just lookin' for a regular five-piece with maybe two symbols to go alone with the high-hat... don't need anything fancy... read up on a brand called pulse and the price isn't bad at all and gets 4 and a half starts out of 5...

just something simple...

A lot of people have gone to double kick instead of the large double bass setup...

Kinda wanted an electric one to control sound, but hell I like real things... plus $$$$... we just need something to bang around on and make music with... plus I need to teach someone how to play 'em because I wanna be doing some rythm guitar etc... instead of playing 'em non-stop...

A friend and I went half/half on this set. The set itself is really good, so long as you get some good heads and upgrade to a better cymbal package because all of the factory stuff sucks.

That Tama set looks pretty awesome, but it's too pricy. It really is a lot easier to go with the double kick, unless you have the room and the money for it. Whatever floats your boat. I'm thinking about getting a Mapex set or maybe even a Ludwig set within the next 6 months.
