One of my mine is not really DL's fault, but still the lack of East Texas posters, which in turn seems to give East Texas 3A less of a voice, and in turn a little less respect on here than other regions.

I know some will say well most think Gilmer is a top 3 team and such, but I mean the East Texas region OVERALL does not get IMO the respect it deserves on here, but again I think that is mostly because the lack of East Tx people on here especially in the north east tx region..

The second one is it just does not seem at times as the board is as uhhh, how do I put it, friendly as it use to be. More Drama over stupid stuff seems to happen, but that is also cause of how big the board has gotten

I wasn't the one who complained, but I'll step up and say your sig is complete BS. There's noone in the UT system that actually believes that Arkie or OU is more a rival than A&M. I've had four great friends from HS, all your elders, that have graduated from UT, that have said that TAMU IS THEIR BIGGEST RIVAL. Not Okie, not Arkie, but TAMU. Okie is a huge rival in FOOTBALL, and only the biggest rival in the last five years and through the glory years of both schools. When they started school (97 and 98) TAMU was BY FAR the biggest rival.

Oh, and my brother's HS sweetheart (my brother is class of '06) that he's likely to marry is a soph at UT. Even she says that TAMU is the biggest rival. You're the only one I've EVER met that says that Arkie is actually a bigger rival.

OU/UT is a MEDIA RIVALRY. I've never met a UT alum other than you who hates the Sooners more than the Ags.

If you can back it up, great props. Until then, I don't believe your sig for a second... and don't assume that none of the rest of us know any UT alums. One of my best friends (Orlando Diaz, c/o '02... PhD '05) is a UT alum.

A UT FAN it has always been like this to me...The A&M rivalry was and is for state bragging right's...BUT the two teams have hardly ever played in a game where both were ranked in top 10...it always seems when one is up the other is down....

OU and Texas, except for a couple of occasons, it has always seemed like when one is up, so is the other...Meaning MORE top 10 battles, top 5 battles and even 1 vs 2....So A&M is of course a big rivalry, but the OU one has meant MORE to Texas as far national champ hopes.

It is not that it has lost it's luster...Just look at the history of the A&M vs Texas rivalry, it has always been about bragging rights, and State pride, but that is about it..Name the big A&M vs Texas game where they both came in as a top 10 or top 5 team?

OU vs Texas has not only been big in the region but even before they were in the same conference, it was big at times on the national scene as well.


Again not saying one is more important then the other, just that the OU vs Texas game has had a bigger impact.
