I doubt that Graham actually falls to 4th in their district. I just don't see that happening...

I can't see Burk being first. I don't care if they do have a hot shot running back and are the biggest school in 3A.

That is the pick that shocks me. I think it goes like this:
1. Vernon/Graham
2. Vernon/Graham
3. Burk/IP
4. Burk/IP
5. WF Hirschi

Graham should have a lot better team next year now that they will have a QB capable of running the offense.

How does 32-3A look?
Also, Raymondville may surprise a few folks in 31-3A, they have a GREAT new coach, so I'd watch out for them. Lyford will be tough as usual.

Wow, sort of a pleasant surprise with Port Isabel being picked to win 32-3A.
I know there are a lot of Seniors on this year's team, but not many are at the skill positions. The youngsters that were freshmen last year will be playing the skill positions this year, except for Ralph Valdez coming back at fullback. Then again, these youngsters are VERY talented, and from what I understand, are very quick. Looking forward to seeing how things pan out this season, because if things go well THIS season, then things will be getting even better at Port Isabel for at least the next 3-4 years.

Its the same kid from last year. Graham LOST quiet a bit, especially their play maker Jeremy Louder. Hell I think they are going to do worse this year then they did last.
IP has a ton of kids to replace. Rusk, Raines, Fulfer, Duggins... those kids along with others will not be easy to replace.
Vernon has some good talent coming back and Burk does have Brown coming back for his third year on varsity. Brown should have another good year for the Bulldogs coming out of the backfield. Burk played good last year, but they were up against some strong competition in that 4A district with Sherman, WF Rider, Denison, etc...... One thing that Burk doesn't have is tradition of winning on the gridiron. Burk is known more for basketball, as their AD is their old hoops coach. One coach told me that they have a ton of kids that play basketball only, and they could use some of that talent on the gridiron. They did play WF Rider close at home, and didn't they go down to the wire with Bridgeport last year pre-district game?
Graham "should be" much improved over last year. They have like 5 or 6 on both sides of the ball coming back.
I still think that McCoy will put his kid in at QB before the season is finished. That kid will be a good athlete, and it's only a matter of time before he has his day running the spread. Whether it's in Graham or another school.

Burk won't win that district outright. Graham will make the playoffs this year.

Jeremy Louder...playmaker...HA! He tried way to hard to make plays instead of just getting yards and often hurt his team with big losses and stupid turnovers!
