Football-wise they haven't really done well...

Just didn't work out as they planned... now instead of having a good athletic school and a not-so-good athletic school, they now have one big not-so-good athletic school...

Back when I was covering them, they had the talent to be another Judson or a Westlake down in R4, for some reason or another they just never put it together. I didn't see them much (they were out of our 'zone,' but played CC schools a lot), but from what I saw they got to the playoffs on talent alone, but never played up to their potential.

Maybe Gobbla or some of the Cuero/Yoakum/Hallettsville posters could tell you more about it. I don't have a clue as to what was going on.

Do you have to have played a school to not like them? There are PLENTY of people that are always ready to hate on Highland Park or Southlake Carroll that have never played them in any competition before. I'm not a big fan of Wolforth Frenship...yeah Wylie will play them these next two years for the first time that I know of....but after having attended a few of their games I just don't like the program. The arrogance of players, coaches, and fans alike. The disrespect and showboating that players are allowed to demonstrate towards other teams without any reprimand from their coaches...it really leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

My list of schools though would go like this...

Clyde - they can always talk a big game regardless of their results on the field
Gainesville - they win because of their talent on the field...yet I heard many talk about how "dynamic" their offense was under Coach Cordell. It just made me laugh...:rolleyes:
Wolforth Frenship - read above statements
Snyder - I am hard pressed to think of another school with a bigger chip on their shoulder that I have any knowledge of than Snyder. I'm sure many peopld could say WO-S but I don't follow them.

Cheif Ohara was from Graham, wasnt he, this guy is from Graham. One in the same? Brothers? Cousins? Something in the water up there? Who knows, but they both have the same amount of hate for UT. There has to be some kind of connection.
