sits in the endzone or on the sidelines of the Georgia football games...I know it's not beer, but it's the best I could come up with.

jd94, Try Miller Red Dog(bulldog on the label). It's beer and you could probably use one. Just don't drive a Mack truck afterwards!!!

Decatur's mascot has not done much to brag about.......

It is merely the symbol of freedom throughout the world, loved by the free and hated by the jealous and evil......

Mocked as chicken, and sometimes an egret, it is sadned by those who do not realize the insult they hurl at not only it, but at the very strengh and protection it gives to all in this great land......

When Pearl Harbor was attacked, it shead tears of pain, and then proceeded to sharpen it talons to strike oppression wherever it could be found, freeing the world from the clutches of Hitler and Tojo.

It became the symbol of the 101st airborne, the men of easy company portrayed in Tom Hanks "Band of Brothers". These Screaming Eagles helped hold Bastogne in days of dispair, holding their ground against impossible odds when others had retreated saying no one could stop the Germans......

On 9/11 the Eagle once again felt the attack of those who hate freedom and justice. Once more the tears of pain and suffring came, only to quickly give way to the swelling of National resolve to again pay the price few nations were willing to pay: send your own sons and daughters to foreign soil to die for freedom. Not in a effort to gain more lands our to conqure and subjugate, but to give those who hate us a chance for a better life....but only after the talons have stricken deep into the heart of our enemy......

It is the namesake of the biggest, baddest fighter jet in the world, the F-15 strike Eagle. The next generation of superfighter also bears the name of the punishing end of the Eagle...the F-22 Raptor......

When God encouraged his people to wait upon his strength so that they might be renewed for the struggle between good and evil, he used the Eagle as the best example of power endowed from on high. God did not choose the elephant, or tiger, lion, bear, snake, cow, cat, dog, frog, toad or creeping or crawlig creature...God chose the Eagle......

Other than these few minor details, the Eagle has not done much.

Ours wrecked our little Pirate ship right in front of the home crowd one year.

Most folks don't even know what a Bearcat is, so I would have to say that our mascot has never sold beer, doesn't stand for freedom, or even run over slow Spainiards, but we do have a pretty good football team. :D

I think this post has gone over a few heads. A few got it, but others didn't look outside the box.
