The rout is on. Union Hill has batted around and then some. Score is now 8-0, middle of third.

Looks like they will be facing Anderson-Shiro at noon tomorrow back at Dell Diamond. If I were them, I'd take the ace pitcher out now and rest him for tomorrow, if that's even allowed.

Union Hill is five miles north of Gilmer, in case anyone was wondering.

8-1 union hill after 4 complete. shawn hays still pitching for the hill. don't know what they will do tomorrow if they pull this one out. i guess you have to get there before you can win it.

Not knowing much about Union Hill baseball, I wonder if they have an almost-as-good No. 2 pitcher in the rotation now that they've used up their ace.

Anderson Owls are the state champs of 1A baseball. It took 10 innings, but the Owls came away as the winners. Was at the game and i can honestly say it was one of the best games in any class a ball in Texas. Congrats Anderson and Union Hill. Both teams played their hearts and butts off in this game. It was one of those games that you didn't want to see a loser.
