I watched them last week and saw the first half of the Kirbyville/Kelly Varsity game. I do not think that Newton's JV could beat Kelly's Varsity. IMO, Kelly just does not have the athletes that they had years ago. I think their coaches did a good job with what they were playing with.

Newton on the other hand has good coaches and good players. That is a pretty good combination. I still say that Newtons JV could not beat Kellys Varsity. Maybe Sabine Pass, Chester or Apple Springs.

bigred, are you really concerned about Newtons j.v. that much. Last time I checked the games that matter are the ones on Fridays. Sure everyone wants to win every game at every level but only the varsity goes to the playoffs. seems to me thet you need to be worried about the Friday night fight. Kirbyville beat Newtons j.v. last year but does that really matter? You must bee listening to oldcard.
