When is it from? If it's a year old, it would automatically close, but one of us can reopen.

How old was it?? I think after a certain amount of time, the threads close automatically.

That was what happened to the Blue Bell thread.

not important, unlike all my other posts, i just was going to bring up the fact i paid $666 for the paint job on my first car, then a few months later, rolling it on a back road miles from anywhere

Mine was a GMC pickup also! I dont remember the year probably around 63. It ran on propane! I painted it two-tone lime green and white!

A worn out 1962 step side 1/2 ton ford pickup.
I knew it was 2 qts low on oil when I would turn a corner and the oil light would come on. Id drive it another 100 miles and put 4 quarts of .19 cent parafin based oil in it. The engine was so loose and worn out, I think it could have run completely out of oil and would have kept going.
I probably could have hired out as a mesquito spryer if I had thought about it. Left a huge trail of smoke everywhere I went.

I thought I was hot sh!+ when i first got it, because it was relatively nice for a first car.

That's when I found out the air conditioner only worked during cold weather, and if I turned left, the engine would occassionally cut off. God bless small towns, I don't think I could have survived with it anywhere else!

i dont think a person should be able to call a car their "first car" unless they paid for it themselves. i hate it when parents buy their kids a vehicle but that's just me.

well my parents paid $800 for my first car...a 1985 maroon Volvo 240 DL. On my second car...(00 GMC Sierra), my dad made the down payment on it for me but the loan was in my name. The first car that I bought totally on my own was my 2002 Chevy Avalanche...but then gas went to $3/gallon so I bought a VW Jetta!

As in the 2005 1/2 model...the new body styles? I have one of those and it's been pretty good. It definitely has some weird quirks to it but nothing too crazy. Yeah once you get inside an avalanche...I REALLY liked the interior and the spacing of it. Plus the convenience of the covered bed that could fold down into the back seat was great. The body just kinda grows on you after a while...but the rest of it is fabulous. I wouldn't mind getting another one if gas ever went back down or I made enough money to where I could afford it.

1978 F-150. It's a sweet two tone blue and silver. Looks like a Dallas Cowboys ( not the navy blue they go to sometimes) truck. Man I wish I could still drive it but that 12 mpg was a killer.
