A great community.........LOTS of mosquitos, especially after Rita..........Enjoy a southerly wind most of the time, except for when a northern blows through...........TOO CLOSE to Houston to suit me............Just close enough to La to suit me................

Anything else?:D

Fal Has Three Good Pitchers. all can go the Distance have proven that in The past. Big Sticks Yes they have about 5 batters who can take you yard with one Swing but they usually play the small ball game thats what Jersey baseball is about always Has been A Great team All around.

Props by the way to a great great Decatur team. IMHO their Game 2 starter was more dominate than the Game 1 starter. Sinton was hitting him (Vela) early & often (just couldn't string enough hits together :( ) Go back and read some of that Game 1 thread and you'll pick up some pretty good info. ;)

Their offense is very good and no they don't small ball you to death, but they will use it to move runners into scoring position.

Good Luck Fal!!

Yep...or players that will soon be drafted by them! 5 hitters that can go yard all the time? That's impressive...especially for a "small ball" team!

Actually i didnt say they could hit the ball yard all the time. I said They Have 5 hitters who Can Take you Yard Which Is A FACT. And Also They Do use the Small Ball To get runners In scoring Position so use a little of everything.

dude...dude...capital letters go at the beginning of a sentence...not on every 2nd or 3rd word.

How can you say "we have 5 hitters that can hit HR's?" What...a kid has 2 HR's in 35 games and now he is a power hitter? Come on now...give me a break!

I think he meant they have 5 hitters who HAVE hit homers this year. Probably not all that uncommon in HS ball.

Why are you guys so worried about whether or not Falfurrias plays small ball and/or hits the long ball...Region IV teams are weak. :hand: Thank God the game is in 2 days.

I simply asked what kind of game they play and apparently they do it all really well according to super fan. I was just asking and found his reply to be very thorough, biased mind you but thorough.

I think Fal44 would like this new title "super fan", but he may have to get in line behind a bunch of other super fans. ;)

Well, you don't get to the State Tournament by being crappy.:)

injuredinmelee
06-05-2006, 03:35 PM
I didnt insinuate that they were crappy just wondered what type of ball they played. Apparently they are great they have beaten alot of good teams to get this far.

injuredinmelee
06-05-2006, 03:36 PM
every team has something that they do really well that they base their strategy on.

SintonFan_inAustin
06-05-2006, 04:23 PM
Fal doesnt have overpowering pitchers, but what makes this team hard to beat is they dont beat themselves. Sorry Fal fan but i didnt see one guy that could go yard, instead i saw a few that are very good contact hitters with a nack for key hits. Good Luck in the tourney and if Fal plays mistake free baseball and get the key hits they have as good a chance as the other 3.

oh and its not small ball Fal Coach use to call it Dodger ball for LA Dodgers Tommy Losarda style of baseball

injuredinmelee
06-05-2006, 04:52 PM
I like to call it Augie Ball...

Wylie has almost killed themselves with errors all year. I hope they can play mistake free or keep them to a minimum this week.

SFIA is right, their best point is they don't make many mistakes, and have enough offense to take advantage of their opponent's mistakes. Best of luck to the Jerseys.
