One guy on another website said they seed by records when they get to the state tournament. I have not seen anything on the UIL site that confirms that. If that is true then the matchups will be:

#1 Bridge City (33-5) vs. #4 Texarkana Liberty-Eylau (26-14)

#2 Falfurrias (28- 6) vs. #3 Abilene Wylie (26-8)

My guess is that they will be out by tomorrow morning at the latest, possibly this afternoon or tonight.

The guy on the other site is correct, they seed by records. I still hate the way the state tournament is played. The UIL's own rules encourage a best 2 out of 3 scenario for playoff series but when they actually control the matchups it's a 1 game play-off. Hypocrites! At the very least they should take all of the Regional Finalists (8 teams total) and play it like the CWS. A true tournament format with double elimination. If they are going to call it a state tournament they should play it as a tournament. There's my .02.

Could not agree with you more, Green Monster. If anything make it a double elim between the 4 finalists like the NCAA regionals are. But, basketball doesn't require it, so....... let's play one!!!!!

Those records dont include this weekends regional finals do they?

I believe that they are used to determine the seedings, I have no idea about whether the records posted include this past week's games or not.
