Gregory-Portland-- Our neighbors immediately to the south have a smashmouth style, a great tradition, and one of the best coaches in the history of Tx HS football. I think we could hang with them next year.
CC Carroll-- Just so we could shut them up.
Aransas Pass-- Give me this one game every single year and I'll die a happy man.

AUBURN
USC- I would've loved a third straight crack at them back in the '04 season. We broke open the '02 and '03 college football seasons with Monday night games against the Trojans and lost both. Give us two more shots at them to kick off the '06 and '07 football seasons. It was great for ratings.
University of Texas-- I'd show up at Royal-Memorial dressed head to toe in orange. And blue.
Ohio State-- I hate the Buckeyes. Always have. They're supposed to have a great offense next year. Let's test that theory.
Oklahoma-- I think we would've whipped up on them back in '04. Let's give it another go in '06.
'Bama-- This is the ultimate embodiment of hate wrapped into a neat little package called the Iron Bowl. This is the one game I look forward to every year. Not the SuperBowl. Not the Rose Bowl. Not the Sugar Bowl. Not the EV1.net Houston Bowl. I know it's going to happen no matter what (just like the Ingleside/AP game), but I love this game.

The last time Sinton played Calallen, the Wildcats won 14-0, but Sinton put up one heck of a defensive effort and made the Cats work for their scores. The offense, on the other hand , was dead. That was in 97, the year the Pirates only won like one game, I think.

I've seen some times when the Downlow was turned into that cotton field, Stang, when the Sweetwater and Snyder folks were really gettin' after it on the posts----of course we've always had "referees". :D

I keep waiting for this one to happen. You would think that they would be playing this coming season. Personally, I miss the Sinton vs Odem games. They always put up more of a fight than Taft did, and IMO would have been the better 2A matchup in seasons past. Flour Bluff is another good area 4A team that I might like to see the Pirates play.

Gorman(near Abilene) and Ben Bolt (40 miles W of Corpus Christi) will meet in Taylor. 30 years ago, those two teams met for the 1976 Class B(the forerunner of 1A) State Championship with Gorman taking an 18-6 victory.

I am wondering how the two schools came up with the idea to meet again 30 years after playing for the title. I do know that the Ben Bolt Badgers are currently coached by Jeff LeFevre, who's dad, Zay LeFevre coached the '76 Badger squad.

Low...I'm not the brightest young man...But we will never play Gilmer in October of any football season...we are still in district during october!! Lol...I seriously doubt Cuero and Gilmer will ever be in the same district!!
