It's about time, as old Miller Stadium in Mineral Wells is a dump.
Bond passed and now they are planning about an 8,000 seat facility with sport turf.

In another bond election. 2A Krum voted down a bond which would've included a football stadium/package. Krum doesn't currently play football but is pushing 3A enrollment numbers due to the growth in the Denton area.

Krum has been talking about starting a football program for about the last 3 years. They have had some tremendous growth in their school district. Probably have gained at least 50 to 75 kids in enrollment since 2004, and it continues to grow.
Krum is a huge basketball town, and they have a good history in that sport. Some say the old guard in town doesn't want football and wants to stay with basketball and the other sports. The new home construction is bringing in more and more families new to Krum and that is where some of the pressure is coming from to start a football program. They won't start it unless they pass a bond election for a new stadium.
