Sign from God or hand of the Devil?

Ok lets break it down real simple like, I was supposed to leave for my summer job in New Mexico this morning, but thing after thing has set me back. Training starts tomorrow morning at 8 am, and I will be leaving early tomorrow morning, but will miss a good portion of training and certification. My question is when do you know God is trying to give you a hint or if its the devil trying to get in your way?
