doing pretty good....... taking a quick trip to Vegas in a couple of weeks.. looking forward to that :p never done the "red eye" thing before - but got the best rates so figured what the heck. How's it going in your neck of the woods?

Golden Nugget - never stayed downtown before..
We'll get into Austin @ 3:45 am Sunday - but we'll be home before 6am and can sleep all day if we want to.. If we left Vegas at 11:00 am Sunday - we wouldn't be home until 7:30 pm and the day would be shot anyway, so I think it's a good deal to fly the "red eye" (I'll remind myself of that on the drive home that morning LOL LOL)

Ok Ill meet yall in Vegas. I need an excuse to go anyhow... lol Actually I need the time off of work. Since I had to take so much time off when I had my surgery in april i dont know how much ill be able to take off the rest of the year. I could take it if I wanted I guess I would just feel guilty though.

Sounds like you are flying Southwest maybe???

The Nugget has a lot of things going for it these days. If there is any chance of downtown making a serious comeback...the Nugget has to lead the way. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised to some day see them build a new casino either north of the Wynn, between Bellagio and the Palms, or between Hard Rock and the Westin.

These are becoming the new "hot spots" of Vegas for people to build in as the strip is pretty much full. There was the area where the Boardwalk casino used to exist (it was bulldozed two weeks ago) but MGM recently announced plans to build a "City Center" where the Boardwalk used to be.

The casinos that are on "the hot list" to be purchased, demolished, and built over include Tropicana, Sahara, and the Riviera...though the Riviera is rumored to be kept alive and undergo a complete gutting of the facilities.
