1. Detroit(still young and healthy?)

4. Anyone but New Jersey

2. San Antonio (They've been one of the top two teams in the conference the past seven years. They get an extension next year.)
3a. Clippers (Their youth movement continues to mature, Maggette plays for more than one week for the first time in his career, Cassell comes back for one more year, and Shaun Livingston becomes unguardable towards the end of the year)
3b. Suns (They get Amare back next year)
3c. Lakers (Kobe has this team on the verge of becoming great... but I'm 50/50 on whether they'll improve enough to overtake the Clipps and Suns)

East
1. Pistons
2. Cavs
3. Magic (Dwight Howard becomes one of the premier players in the game, Jameer Nelson becomes a top-five PG, and Darko takes another step forward, becoming the third-most skilled big man in the game)
4. Pacers (They're finally healthy, now they just have to find some defense)


League MVP: Dirk (close race between him and LeBron)
Comeback POY: Darko Milicic
ROY: Who cares, this class sucks... but I'll go with LaMarcus Aldridge for now.

Nash is barely gonna be able to make it through these playoffs. He averaged 35 mpg during the season, had a 7 game series against the lakers which he played no defense at all, then a couple of hard games against the clippers.
That's the reason why Cuban didn't want to sign him for a 4 or 5 year deal.

The suns with Amare will be a legit contender next year. In my opinion if they had him this year they would win it all.

West:

1. spurs depending on what they do this offseason
2. Suns.. stoudamire will be back to add to their scoring and stand for their defense
3. Mavericks will still be good and continue to improve on defense
4. Hard to argue against the clippers.. regardless if sam stays another year or not, this team has grown together and has taken in what Cassell brought to their team this year... a winner mentality

honorable mentions for next year:
golden state
memphis

East:
1. Miami
2. Cleveland
3. Detroit.. wont be as dominant i dont think
4. Chcago.. young team that will continue to get better
