Celina's in R2, right?

I'm looking forward to the (possible) matchup between Cuero and Gilmer at the state title game. Bellville is the only other team even in their league, but these two are definitely the big dogs of 3A. With more talent than most 5A teams, this would be a game for the ages.

back to the thread. the game i am looking most forward to in the regular season is gilmer/tatum. i work with several tatum alums and this is already getting fun. when i get out of homerville the game that i'm going to do my best to see is the wimberly/liberty eylau game. this could be the eventual state championship game. should be a great one.

Doesn't Liberty Eylau return just about everyone? I thought that's what the announcers were saying during the Gainesville game last year. Wimberley on the other hand lost most of their main studs from last year. They still return quite a bit of talent, but the ones that anchored the Code Red defense are gone. For them to make it to state again would take a GREAT job of coaching. IMO, they will be a good team that should advance several rounds in the playoffs, but will be a far cry from last year's team...

Liberty Eylau lost some key players, but has some good kids stepping up to fill those slots. Lot of potential mixed with experience...we'll have to see what happens.

Liberty Eyleu vs. Gilmer in the first round of the playoffs. IF everything goes as expected that should be a top 10 matchup.

I learned that Cuero was one of the most talented teams in the state last year. From everything I heard (I wasn't at the game), they were in a different class, talent-wise, than Hutto, but Hutto outplayed them.

I know that Cuero returns what could be the fastest team in the state and that for just about every player they lost there's either an equal or better replacement waiting in the wings.

So yeah, I'd like to see a Cuero/Gilmer matchup.

I didn't even realize that. I've never seen him, but Middlebrooks is supposed to be one of the biggest studs in R2.

I agree on this one. Last year I would have said Sinton vs Cuero, but that never happend, right Rita. :D Anyways, the Ingleside game is poised to be good game, and this could be the came for the district championship again, but who knows. We have more good teams in the district next season.
