Da Mules
10-26-2001, 11:23 PM
Shallowater 21, Muleshoe 20 (darn, Shallo blocks da Mules PAT with 7 seconds left to avoid overtime.) Lamesa beat Midland Greenwood 39-22. (sorry Ranger fans, Lamesa still runs a BAAAD option.) Sanford-Fritch beats Childress 19-17 (score may be wrong, but Fritch Frogs won for sure.)

LAMESA'S DEFENSE RECOVERED A FUMBLE AND RAN FOR A TD AND INTERCEPTED A PASS AND RETURNED IT FOR A TD. BEST GAME I HAVE BEEN TO ALL YEAR. GREENWOOD'S QB WAS INJURED IN THE 4TH. LOOKED LIKE A KNEE AND WAS CARRIED OFF THE FIELD. WONDERING HOW SEVERE IT IS IF ANYONE KNOWS.

BROWNFIELD 20, SEMINOLE 21 (OT)
DENVER CITY 44, SLATON 0
LUBBOCK COOPER 52, DIMMITT 0
LITTLEFIELD BEAT ROOSEVELT (CAN'T REMBER SCORE THOUGH)

Da Mules

Yeah it was a very close game. Mules scored first, then Mustangs caught up. On a critical series late in the third, Mules RB A.J. Flores got a bad leg cramp and had to come out, and it made a difference, as the Mules drive stalled out on about the Shallowater 9. Then the Stangs made a long beautiful drive to take the lead 21-14. Flores comes back in, and Da Mules get the ball back with about 4 minutes, and drove 80 yards to score with 7 seconds left. Shallowater blocks the PAT...that's the game. Coulda, shoulda, woulda...Shallowater deserved the win; they lost a 20-21 toughie to LIttlefield a couple weeks ago. Far as I'm concerned, they're the team of the week. Muleshoe learned a tough lesson, that nobody is going to roll over for you just because you been whompin' everybody else.

Got this secondhand: Sinton 63-7 over winless George West. These pirates need some competition, next two weeks against a surging Aransas Pass and Ingleside should help.

Bros, The starting quarterback for Air Force, Keith Boyea, played in that game against sealy in which you are referring. That was why they were so good. He is a very agile, smart, and FAST quarterback. Greasy quick.

bros, a little of both(talent and they lost a very good coach). Their coach went to GP a few years ago, he had a great offseason conditioning program. He had those kids buff. It's a shame because GW was starting to make some noise in Reg. 4.

bros, you wanted to know who were some of the standouts from the Sinton-GW game? It seems that the Sinton 2nd and 3rd teams deserve the credit since they played most of the game, sorry to back so late on that.
