It seems that there is an alarming new "trend" for making money and providing entertainment emerging in the Metroplex area. Some gang members have "stumbled" upon the idea of setting up "fights" between kids for profit, filming them and then offering the DVD's up for sale.

This activity must be stopped immediately before some young person loses their life or is permanently injured. We used to have "fights" after school sometimes, but the violence did not rise to this level and there were "unwritten" rules of conduct such as not hitting anyone while they were "down" or using anything but your fists.
