Dallas doesn't retire numbers, but which number has only been worn by one HOF and hasn't been worn or issued in over 30 years?

#8, #12 & #22 probably won't be issued, unless they are very special players.

Could you please clarify the following phrases or words:
"only been worn by one HOF"
and
"hasn't been worn or issued in over 30 years"
Thanks!

Hey Adidas, Do you happen to know if Bob Lilly still lives in or around Graham? I know that in the early nineties he was a resident of that fine community. (I love all the trees in that town.)

HOF (hall of famer) Bob Lilly was the only Cowboy ever to wear #74. He retired after the 1974 season and no other Cowboy has worn that #74 in a regular season NFL game.

Okay, that sounds better than how the question was worded. Still not sure about "only Cowboy ever to wear #74" but "no other Cowboy has worn that #74 in a regular season NFL game" explains what you mean.

You may see #74 in training camp or maybe pre-season, but Lily was the only one ever to wear it in a regular season game. I have the official Dallas Cowboys media guide which shows all the players and their numbers. Numbers aren't recorded on the all-time roster, unless they were worn during a official NFL regular season or playoff game. Players don't have to play in the game, just be on the official roster.
Two other numbers (#13 & #49) have only been worn by one player each in an official regular season game.

I am aware of that. The wording of the original question was a little more open ended.

Dallas Cowboys were originally known as 2 other names before becoming the Cowboys. Hint (not the Dallas Texans, they became the KC Chiefs)
