Those are dangerous opponents indeed. Remember Arkansas cost us a national championship in 1964 with a 14 to 13 win over us as did TCU in 1961 with a 6 to 0 win. Scary and dangerous indeed. Plus Blake from Aransas Pass plays for TCU!

Kind of interesting that we agreed to a home/home with Central Florida. It's great for them because it will likely fill up the Citrus Bowl (the Golden Knights home stadium) to near capacity if not full capacity and provide them with additional revenue for their program.

C-USA has become the seventh-best football conference in the nation, and the Golden Knights have been pretty salty in conference play. Went to the conference championship last year and had that shootout with Nevada in the Hawaii Bowl. Not the kind of team that you pay to come in and play you. You're begging for an upset if you do that.

This is happening with a fair amount of teams these days. Most teams in the SEC and ACC will typically have an OOC game after playing their 1st conference matchup.

Why not start the scout team against SHSU?

Don't be fooled! They are tough! They made the NC championship finals two years ago. This team has me very worried. A bobcat may not be a tiger but they can be dangerous.

Technically, the SHSU mascot is a Bearkat, not a Bearcat, but I'll give you a pass because putting a K in Bearkat is about as cool as my breakdancing skills.

And North Texas State is not anything to sneer at because two years ago they drafted a top state defensive tackle that will be a sophomore so they could be dangerous on defense and if their offense is able to get a couple of tds it could be dangerous and scary indeed.

UT playing Arkie again is the dumbest idea Deloss has ever had.

Texas gains nothing by playing Arkie.

Sooooooooooooooooeeeeeeeeeeeee! Pig! Pig!

Aw, c'mon KTJ, the Hog/Horns rivalry is steeped in tradition and I remember some plenty good games back in the old SWC days when Frank Broyles was coaching. I think it will be good for the area to revive the rivalry for the fans.

You must be a Hog fan.

No UT fan wants to renew this rivalry. In fact, we wish it would die.

Check that---1 in every 5,000 UT fans want to see this game. Those fans are usually the older fans, which there's nothing wrong with that.

KTJ---I'm probably old enough to be your grandfather---so I guess that would qualify me as one of the "older" fans. :D

I'm not a Big Hog fan---UT and TCU are my favorite Texas teams, but I do like to remember the quality of the old SWC rivalries when Broyles was at Arkansas, Wilkinson was at OU, Abe Martin was at TCU and Darryl Royal was at UT---gentlemen and class coaches to the man.
