we did advance but it was 2 games to 1. Pleasant Grove won game 2. next up against Lindale.

way to go Bearcats! at one point a month ago PP was one loss from missing the playoffs for the first time since they started the baseball program again in 1987. they won their way back in, made the playoffs for the 20th time in a row, and now knocked off the #6 team in the state, breckenridge. my hat is off to you boys, i have to admit that i thought yall were going to be the ones to go down in infamy. you proved everyone wrong, great job!

What's funny here is Breckenridge finishes the season with a total of 4 losses to only 2 teams. Goes to show you what a WEAK schedule can do for you in the eyes of the pollsters! Schedule a bunch of 1A, 2A, and 3A also rans beat up on them and watch your ranking skyrocket.

You are right. Problem is it doesn't get you battle tested and ready. Breck is proof of that.

I noticed in the boxscore that PP had 8 (yes 8) errors. They might have swept Breckenridge if they would have played better defensively in that second game.

Correct GWOOD Inglesdie advances. They play FAL thurs night at 7:30 in INgleside, 7:30Fri in FAL, and Sat at 3 in Alice if third game is needed.

Any thing ya'll know about the FAL team?

They are 20-5 right now. They ended the season 20-3. Won two tournaments. Played two warm-up games last week. Lost to state ranked 5A Mission Sharyland 5-3 and then lost to 2A George West after that.

They do have three quality starters. #3 starter has had a couple of games with 10 or more K's.
