SINTON - The Wharton Tigers advanced to the Class 3A area baseball playoffs Saturday with a 6-3 win over the Yoakum Bulldogs.


Wharton won the best-of-three series 2-1 and advances to play Liberty Hill.

Liberty Hill won district 27, followed by Wimberley then Bandera which both advanced to the second round. The Panthers are pretty good. Good pitching and hitting, well rounded team....
