How is Yoe going to be in football this year? Who do they have returning? I know they have been good the last two years and was wondering if they will be able to keep it up.

I heard they will have about 30 seniors on the varsity next year. Also heard that after this year times will be tough.

Info came from yoe parent.......

Don't they return their QB? He should be one of the best in 3A this year. How many yards did he pass and rush for last year?

Don't believe that they will be as good as last year. Although they have some talent returning they also lost some key players.

Cameron Yoe should have another good year. District might come down to Cameron Yoe and Hutto this year. I think liberty Hill will be a little down. But than again what do i know

Is Cameron still running the spread offense?

I dont think Liberty Hill will be any less talented. But i think they will have more losses this year. With that schedule its gonna be a tough season. You know what they say 7th time is a charm. Go hippos! beat the panthers:clap:

How many starters does Hutto have returning on each side of the ball? I guess what I am wanting to know is will they have the firepower to return to the state game?

Hutto should have another good year. I dont know if they will make it to state or not. They have some good players returning. Kerley the qb will be back.

Kerley should be the district MVP next year if he can stay healthy. Word from a guy in Hutto is that they should be average with Kerley in there. He said that the leaders on the line from this season will be gone and that Hutto will be looking at some young guys to fill the void.

I think Cameron will be the team to beat. Liberty Hill will be strong as usual. Everyone else will be trying to find their identity's early in the year and there could be some surprises.

Rockdale is under new direction, Taylor is down (even though the last few times in 3A they couldn't make it out of the district), Hutto lost big time players, Liberty Hill lost the last of the big 3, Cameron lost several lineman and the leader of the defense. Should be a jumbled up mess.............

This is going to be a GREAT district race! I really don't expect LH to miss the big 3, I believe the guys replacing them have more speed and have a good chance to be even more productive. Don't count out Taylor, they will present a BIG challenge to Cameron, Hutto and LH. I just hate it that one REALLY GOOD team from this district will be sitting home come playoff time. There will be quite a few district winners around the state that the 4th place team in this district could beat. It's gonna be an exciting district to watch....

I Austin LBJ in that district or did they stay 3A? I am curious because this looks like a tough district. That along with the WOS, Jasper district.

Austin LBJ is 4A. You're probably thinking of Austin Johnston. They originally turned in 3A numbers and were originally placed in this district on realignment day Feb. 2nd. They protested that there was a miscalculation or counting error and somehow found an extra 150-200 more students to put them back in 4A a few days later. With the UIL's blessing,of course. That's why all the teams in this district ONLY have 9 games on their schedules. Couldn't find any replacements because most of the schedules were done by then. Johnston becomes the 9th team in District 17-4A.
