Koufax was absolutely unhittable for the short time he played. Tom Seaver would be second on my list. Not quite as good as Koufax but still better than everyone else for a longer amount of time. Gibson was unhittable in spots (1969), and was very good everywhere else. After that, I'd go with Clemens, Bob Feller, Juan Marichal, then Maddux.

In his two seasons with the Astros, Clemens posted a 31-12 record with a 2.43 ERA.

An 11-time All-Star, Clemens has more wins than any other living pitcher and ranks ninth all-time with 341 victories. In 672 career games, he is 341-172 with a 3.12 ERA and has recorded 4,502 career strikeouts, trailing only Nolan Ryan (5,714) on the all-time list.

if i could take any of those pitchers as a rookie and be guarenteed they stay with my team for the entirety of their careers, i'd take Clemens.

1. Greg Maddux--True pitcher as he doesn't overpower players.
He is good enough that if the roles were reversed Cy Young might not win 5 Greg Maddux awards.

Sandy Kaufax--Would have been the best ever had it not been for the arm problem.

Nolan Ryan is # 1 I.M.O.......... 7 no hitters, and he pitched in 27 major league seasons.(I hope this is correct info.)

Nolan Ryan, and then John Koronka

As great as Nolan was, he only won 32 more games than he lost, 324-292 in 27 seasons. He only had 20+win seasons twice.
