It's a final, Bellville 47-14 over Huffman. Bellville's defense held Crew to about 90 yds rushing. Huffman found out early that they weren't playing Brazos or Hitchcock. Bellville's offense had too much fire power for a much bigger opponent. Huffman, with three player weighing over 300 lbs, could not keep up with the faster Bellville team. Crew was shut down most of the night. Bellville has seen better backs in Smith, of Navasota and Andrus, of Sealy. Crew benefits from a huge offensive line but doesn't seem to have the break away speed.

Bellville had 280 yds rushing and 206 yds passing, for a total of 486 yds. Defense held Huffman to 159 yds rushing and only 50 yds passing. Mr. Crew had 22 carries for 90 yds, with most of that coming in the second half. Bellville didn't have a back over a 100 yds, but 3 backs had at least 84 yds. Goeke had 6 receptions for 148 yds and 2 touchdowns. He kicked 2 fgs, one from 47 yds. He also had a interception on defense. Bellville22, I would like to nominate Goeke for your player of the game.

I left in the 4th qtr and I thought he had about 50-60 yds. He also fumbled on a jarring hit from one of the Brahmas. He was not the back that I anticipated. Huffman must of played teams that couldn't stop the run.
