These teams are all the #1 seeds in Region IV plus two more #2 seeds who are very good.

OK, pirate4state--You've got to admit this has turned into a "homer" poll. Sinton is a quality team. But get more votes than Falfurrias & Valley View combined?

For the record, I voted for Falfurrias. Kids are coached well and have a winning tradition.

Columbia/West Columbia - same thing. I never know which name to put. I think it is officially Columbia High School in West Columbia.

JohnnyPaycheck, who do you like in Region iv?

Columbia High in West Columbia.

Johnny is out watering dirt and raking. If the Necks don't get to Austin they need to get rid of the asst. dirt water boy.

man, hose busted and my rake broke...what am i gonna do with myself now...

i have to go with falfurrias for now...they have played the most steady...but as we say here...

"on any given day, anyone can win a ballgame"

I think the local club here can get on a tear and win some big ones!

For the record...Sinton has an excellent coaching staff and well...our winning tradition...speaks for itself. ;) :p

Actually, according to Falfurrias' baseball website, Sinton only beat them once. The coach's comments about the game were very complimentary towards Sinton and totally without any excuses. Don't know the man but read his comments on each game and I'm sure you will be impressed.

If he has any kind of baseball knowledge to go with his leadership skills and if he has some good talent to go with the Falfurrias tradition, they will be hard to beat in Region IV.

I don't know about the website or how often it's updated, but the local tv stations down here reported Sinton beat them for the second time just a short few weeks ago. However, in looking at Sinton's website, the first victory may have been our JV in the Fal tourney.

Oh and Sinton Varisty has only played Fal once this year.

Both of these coaches have great respect for each other and their programs. Two of the premier programs in 3A in our area.

I don't like calling teams overrated, but I firmly believe Valley View falls into that category. Five of their District 32-AAA victories were in extra innings, in addition to losing to non-playoff teams Lyford & Port Isabel. They have one decent starting pitcher and they overuse him as it is. They have a bye in the first round and could be in trouble in round 2 if it is more than a one-game series.
