Which Region 1 team will make it to Austin? (Baseball)

What is the 3ADownlow choice for the team that most likely will make it to Austin for the 3A Baseball State Tournament?

I don't know anything about Region I.

Here are my thoughts on Region IV though:

The way the bracket is set up Falfurrias and West Columbia are on a collision course!! :eek:

Pharr Valley looks to be the leading contender in the top part of the bracket with Sinton a step behind. :thinking:

But what do I know? :D

Breck has no chance what so ever and i dont even care that they are ranked in top 10 big deal the reason they are there because they played all 1a and 2a schools and ya they beat us because they have one good player that can throw well so that is my theroy THE HAWKS WILL MAKE IT!

I am going to go with Decatur. Good sticks... pitching that can last a 3 game series. Staley has been a 4 year starter for the varsity.
Decatur has playoff experience... etc.....

Breckenridge has a great pitcher in Heatley, but that's about it. They have another good pitcher in Turner, but I just don't see them with the depth to take a 3 game series against a good baseball team. They played Iowa Park close, but Cameron Crazy makes a good point. Breckenridge didn't play anybody worthy before district, and once they run up against a good team in a 3 game series it will be tough for them to handle.

I thought about going Decatur but until they can "come through" in the playoffs in a team sport (footballl, basketball, baseball) then it's hard for me to pick them...even if it is different kids every year.
