This is an exciting match. The matches have been close. In the Doubles UT got the points by winning 2 of the 3 matches and they are now playing the Singles matches. UT leads 1 to 0 but has to win 3 of the 6 singles to get the four points while Baylor must get at least 4 of the singles to win it. Excitement indeed!

In the singles matches in the first sets UT so far has won the first set of 2 of the matches and Baylor 1 with the other three being close. (Teams have to win two sets of 3 to get a match)

No new results. I think they may have got a rain delay or something.

Finally an update. In the first set of the singles matches UT wins 5 out 6. The games have been close though. Of the 5 games UT won if they can win the second set in three of them they win the championship. But I expect Baylor to fight back. They are a great tennis team.

In the second sets UT has cinched one of the matches and now leads 2 - 0. The other matches are very close.

In the second sets three are going to going to go to the third and final sets. UT has already won one of them. The remaining two are very tight and could go either way. If UT sweeps them then they cinch the match. We will see.

These are tough points to come by. UT is having trouble getting that third point. They may all come to the final sets.

Two of the matches are in the final set and are both tied.

Texas gets another point and lead 3 to 0. But the other singles matches are all in the final sets and if Baylor sweeps they will get the championship. If UT can win one of the four they will get it. These games have been close and competitive. Anything can happen. This has been a great match and could be a preview of the NCAA finals.

Correction one of the games is still in the second set but Baylor was leading that one 5 to 3.

UT wins 4 to 1! The points were hard to come by and this was a well played match by both teams.

congrats on the win UT....Baylor hardly ever loses in Waco, only twice that i know in the 3 years i have been here (both this year)....anyway, on to the NCAAs!
