Looks like Austin is going to be a showdown between Cuero and Hempstead.

This could get real interesting.

We sat next to a group of Bandera Fans - We finally just HAD to ask what their T Shirts meant - They were blue with a big D and a 3 in the upper corner - One of the girls told us it meant District Champs 3 years in a row... That is awesome.....

Congrats to the Hempstead Bobcats. Should be a great state meet. Hempstead was dq'ed in the prelims in the 4x2 for going out of the passing lane, otherwise they would probably have 3 relays going to state. I expect they will shave a little time off the relays between now and state with more hand-off practice. Be looking forward to running against Cuero and other state qualifiers.

Don't be fooled by the pole vault results at Region IV for the boys. First and second place each took one vault. Wind gusting to 45 mPH. A lot of vaulters not even reaching the mat. Too dangerous to be vaulting really. They made it to state in one piece. Both are 14'-6" vaulters, I believe.
